Frequently asked questions
What counts as an “action”?+
Every executed workflow step (AI, system, or human task) emits one billable Temporal action. Your plan includes a monthly action allowance; the Billing & Usage page shows your action-burn in real time.
What happens if I exceed my monthly quota?+
New runs are recorded as quota_exceeded and paused (not executed) until the next billing cycle or an upgrade — your existing data and workflows are untouched. Raising the plan immediately re-queues the paused runs.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?+
Yes. Request an upgrade in the console — an invoice is issued via Lago and you pay by bank transfer or the card link the platform provides; the new plan activates once payment is confirmed. Downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Your audit history and published documents carry over.
How is Sovereign different from Enterprise?+
Sovereign is a single-tenant deployment you control — on-prem, air-gapped, or in a sovereign cloud — with a self-hosted LLM gateway so no data or model call leaves your jurisdiction. It is arranged with our team, not bought self-serve.
